Chris & Alice : Engagement

Chris and Alice were some of our bravest clients to date as they endured the incredibly strong winds at La Perouse on the afternoon of their engagement shoot! But it was worth it for the stunning location and that gorgeous late afternoon sun. If you can’t quite tell from the photos how crazy the wind was, it might be because we all tried hard to position ourselves precisely to match the wind direction! We had a wonderful time photographing this sweet couple and were blessed to capture their wedding day as well, which you can find here!

Dan & Erina: Wedding

On a beautiful April day, Dan and Erina exchanged vows in front of all their family and friends. As always, we felt privileged to witness and document such a significant occasion for them. The day went smoothly, with a good dose of laughs, and the bride and groom exuded a sense of calm and relaxation throughout, no doubt partly due to the bride’s clear vision for what she wanted on the day. A perfect combination of relaxed vibes and well-planned details!

Dan and Erina, thank you for the honour of being your photographers. We hope these photos help remind you of treasured memories for years to come. May God bless your journey together as husband and wife!

Ben & Peri : Wedding

We were delighted to photograph the wedding of Ben and Peri on a warm
December day last year. It was wonderful to see their joy in getting married
and watch family and friends share in that joy. We never tire of seeing those
expressions on the bride and groom’s face as they say their vows and exchange
their rings, kiss, and then the exuberance when it’s all done and they are
officially married. Everything has been leading up to this moment. It’s also
fun for us to see the difference between the engagement photos and the wedding
photos – bride and groom infinitely more relaxed, even more in love.
Congratulations to Ben and Peri, and we pray for God’s blessing on their new
life together.

Will & Xerri : Engagement

Will and Xerri braved a very windy and unexpectedly chilly late Spring evening for our photoshoot with them, trusting us that the location we suggested was worth it. You can tell it’s windy but not quite how cold it was! They were such good sports and it was worth the cold to capture that beautiful late afternoon sun by the water. And of course it’s easy to smile and relax for the camera when you are celebrating the fact you will be marrying your best friend in less than two months time! We had a great time working with this kind and wonderful pair of people.

With the wedding only a week away now, we are excited to share these highlights from the engagement session, and can’t wait to photograph the big day itself!

Anand Family Photo Session

This gorgeous family were among our first clients when we started our photography business, back then capturing some photos with their new baby who is now a big brother in this session here. So much fun doing these photos with two active little boys! We hope you enjoy them : )

Jed, Bec + Grace : Family Photo Session

Just over two years ago we photographed a maternity session for Jed and Bec in the very same spot you see in the images below, as they waited joyfully and expectantly for their little girl to arrive. It was such a privilege to come back to the same spot, now with two year old Grace in tow (or rather, leading the way!), and capture some lovely memories for this beautiful little family once again.

Peter & Monica : Wedding

A perfect Spring day dawned for the wedding of Peter and Monica, a big contrast to the drizzly and cold afternoon of their engagement photos! A calm excitement set the mood for the morning as everyone got ready for the big event. The expressions on everyone’s faces as Monica arrived at the church and made her way down the aisle were, as always, wonderful to capture – the anticipation and the emotion of the big moment approaching. Surrounded by family and friends, Pete and Monica exchanged their vows and then it was done, they were married, and so, so happy. We felt privileged to be part of not just that moment but the whole day as they celebrated committing their lives to one another. May God bless them in their new journey doing life together.

We hope these photos are just a small reminder of the day that was and the promises that live on.

Takeshi + Katie : Maternity Session

Late last year I (Kat) was able to sneak in a quick maternity session for some dear friends of ours, not long before their bub was due. There is something so beautiful about this time in people’s lives. Pregnant mums often say they don’t feel beautiful, but feel more like a whale (I felt it myself), however from where others are standing, they are just gorgeous and glowing. There’s also something really special about seeing the expectant couple interact as they anticipate the arrival of their baby. What a privilege it was to capture this moment in time.

Sam & Lucy : Wedding

Colourful fabric bunting and glowing fairy lights adorned the modern concrete interior of the church; crisp white walls were washed with sun from the skylight above. The space was beautiful, light and airy (a photographer’s dream) but the space didn’t matter as much as who was there and what was said.

We always love those moments captured where a bride and her father are trying to keep a wobbly smile on their face coming down the aisle, while the emotions of the moment roll through them. Or the moment when its all done, the vows are said, the kiss is past and huge goofy grins on the bride and groom’s faces say it all. We hope these moments and many others captured below bring back special memories for years to come.

Congratulations again Sam and Lucy and may God grant you a long and joyful marriage!

Sam & Lucy : Engagement

For this engagement shoot, these young lovebirds persevered with us through sudden downpours and cold winds, full of smiles! Thankfully the rain was short lived at least!

We loved hearing their story and getting to know them ahead of their wedding day. One thing we particularly loved was how Lucy was wearing a pair of earrings that Sam had given her at her year 7 birthday party (he confessed to having a bit of a crush on her back then). Going out was not to happen for a number of years yet, but the seeds were sown early on : )

Stay tuned for the wedding photos which will be up soon as well!
