One of Callan and Kat’s favourite beaches became the backdrop for this photo session. It was a perfect early Autumn day, and the ocean was the ideal contrast to their upcoming Blue Mountains wedding. Jack and Cindy are getting married in November and we had the pleasure of spending a Saturday afternoon with them recently to take some engagement photos.
We find that engagement shoots are a great way for us all to get to know each other better and become comfortable working together before the big day. Jack and Cindy told us they weren’t used to being in front of the camera and were pretty nervous at first, but we don’t think you can tell from the pictures below! Thanks for trusting us and relaxing for the shoot. You were great! Can’t wait to capture your wedding day as well : )

It’s exciting to hear that Katherine and Tuo are getting married next month. Our initial plan for this engagement shoot was to take them to The Rocks but we decided on the day to instead explore some of the less frequented parts of the Sydney CBD. We’re glad that we did this because the photos turned out quite nicely : )

On a breezy and beautiful October afternoon we met Travis and Hong-An, who will be getting married in January. We had a lovely time getting to know this couple and taking some photos for them at the place where they had their first date : ) We had lots of fun with them and are very much looking forward to photographing their wedding day! Congratulations to Katie & Takeshi for your beautiful wedding last weekend! We took some photos to help them celebrate their engagement earlier on.
We’ve known Katie for a number of years, but this photoshoot was the first time that we met her then-fiance Takeshi. We really liked him! Takeshi moved here from Japan not so long ago (Katie speaks Japanese) so we felt that a few photos near beautiful Sydney harbour might be nice for family back home. This pair were nervous about the shoot but when it came down to it, they really relaxed in front of the camera. We loved taking photos for this special couple, and also getting to know Takeshi. Thanks for a fun afternoon!

Our friends John and Jen are getting married next March and we had the privilege of capturing some photos for the newly engaged couple. The clouds threatened but the rain stayed away and the wind was quiet on a chilly June day at Cockatoo Island. With many places to explore these were just some of the interesting spots we found. Our friends were a bit nervous about the photo shoot – camera shy perhaps – but they soon relaxed and we got some lovely moments with this photogenic pair. Thanks guys for a fun afternoon of photos and getting to know each other better too. We hope you enjoy the pictures 🙂

We had a great time photographing our friends Yuan and Angie in early April. They are getting married in September and we had the privilege of taking their engagement photos. They are such a fun pair and we’re really happy with how the photos turned out, largely due to their playful and smiley natures, especially Angie! It was a cold and grey early morning when we arrived on location, and it even rained for a while, but thank God for the beautiful sunshine that came out shortly after.
Thanks guys for your energy and enthusiasm. Yuan was getting pretty hungry by the end but he hid it well!
